Every ModLens download includes a 14-day Pro trial, with no card and no account. After the trial it keeps working in Lite mode, or unlock Pro with a license key (no separate installer). ModLens Sim is free. Version 0.1.0.

Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit. Portable folder: unzip and run ModLens.exe.

Raspberry Pi / Linux

Both apps in one package for Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm (64-bit) and Debian/Ubuntu. Installs as services.

Windows: first start

  1. Unzip the folder anywhere (Desktop, Program Files…).
  2. Run ModLens.exe. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway.
  3. Allow the firewall prompt only if you want the remote dashboard.
  4. Closing the window keeps ModLens running in the tray (next to the clock).

Raspberry Pi: install

unzip modlens-linux.zip -d modlens
cd modlens
sudo bash tools/pi/install.sh --sim

Then open http://<pi-ip>:8090 for ModLens Sim. See the Raspberry Pi guide.

Requirements: Modbus TCP needs only a network connection. Modbus RTU needs a USB to RS-485 adapter (FTDI or CH340). Full steps: installation guide.
